Pre-Sales Consultant (ERPNext / ERP Solutions)

We are a growing ERP consulting company specializing in ERPNext and Frappe-based business solutions. We work closely with SMEs and mid-sized enterprices to streamline operations through well-structured ERP implementations.
We are looking for a techno-commercial pre-sales professional who can bridge business needs and ERP solutions someone who understands processes, communicates clearly, and supports high-quality deal closure.
Role Overview
As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will work closely with the CEO and delivery team to manage early-stage sales conversations, conduct requirement discovery, design ERP solutions, and prepare proposals and scopes of work.
This is not a cold-calling role. It is a consultative, solution-oriented position focused on quality deals and long-term client success.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Discovery
Conduct discovery calls with prospects to understand business processes and pain points
Qualify leads based on fit, budget, urgency, and implementation feasibility
Translate client requirements into ERPNext-based solution approaches
Support product demos, walkthroughs, and solution explanations
Pre-Sales & Documentation
Prepare detailed proposals, SOWs, and effort estimates
Define implementation scope, assumptions, exclusions, and timelines
Collaborate with the delivery team to validate feasibility and effort
Ensure clean handover from sales to implementation (no scope gaps)
Commercial Support
Assist in pricing discussions, cost structuring, and margin protection
Support negotiation with clients alongside the CEO
Track opportunities and maintain basic CRM hygiene
Required Skills & Experience
Must Have
1–3 years experience in ERP / SaaS / IT services pre-sales or consulting
Strong understanding of business processes (Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR, etc.)
Experience creating proposals, SOWs, or functional documents
Excellent communication and stakeholder-handling skills
Ability to think both technically and commercially
Good to Have
Hands-on exposure to ERPNext, Frappe, Odoo, SAP B1, or similar ERPs
Prior experience working with SMEs or mid-market clients
Basic understanding of implementation project lifecycle
MBA or functional consulting background (optional)

Pure cold-callers or lead-generation profiles
Freshers without ERP or consulting exposure
Aggressive “close-at-any-cost” sales mindset
Candidates uncomfortable with documentation and structure
